Americans Do NOT Want Trump Tariffs

Editorial February 3, 2025

In addition to threats against the American people, the first convicted felon to be inaugurated President in the history of the United States of America has begun a trade war against Canada, our closest ally, friend, and neighbor, in the form of tariffs on products imported from Canada.

Canada has responded with tariffs on a wide range of products American companies export into Canada.

This trade war will hurt the national economies of both countries. It will cause inflation as businesses pass along their costs of doing business cost to consumers. Some companies will go out of business as consumers tighten their belts by purchasing fewer consumer goods, resulting in higher unemployment rates. Many families are already having difficult times just trying to put food on the table. If they are lucky enough to stay employed, those who commute to work will be paying more at the gas pumps.

The 25% tariff increase on Canadian goods entering America is totally unnecessary. Trudeau and Canadians are fully justified in standing up for themselves. The only one who might reap some benefit is Trump himself. In 2028, if the old “dictator on day one” is still alive, he’ll be able to remind the American people “elections have consequences” as Felonius the First calls for an end to fair elections in America.

Canada response to Trump Tariffs

(AMP) February 2, 2025
In response to the Trump tariffs, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced tariffs on American products and goods.

We will always stand up for Canada.
Canada will be responding to US trade actions with 25% tariffs against 155 Billion Dollars worth of American goods. This will include immediate tariffs on $30 Billion worth of goods as of Tuesday, followed by further tariffs on $125 Billion of American products in 21 days time to allow Canadian companies and supply chains to seek to find alternatives. Like the American tariffs, our response will also be far reaching and include every day items such as American beer, wine, and bourbon. Fruits and fruit juices, including orange juice, along with vegetables, perfume, clothing, and shoes. It will include major consumer products like household appliances, furniture, and sports equipment, and materials like lumber and plastics, along with much, much more.

And, as part of our response we are considering, with the provinces and territories, several non-tariff measures, including some related to critical materials, energy procurement and other partnerships.

We will stand strong for Canada. We will stand strong to ensure our countries continue to be the best neighbors in the world.

Yesterday, a USN F/A-18 (two seat) was shot down over the Red Sea in what appears to be a friendly fire incident. They had just flown off the deck of the USS Harry S. Truman aircraft carrier.
“The guided missile cruiser USS Gettysburg, which is part of the USS Harry S. Truman Carrier Strike Group, mistakenly fired on and hit the F/A-18,” Central Command said in a statement.
Both crew members from Strike Fighter Squadron 11 out of NAS Oceana ejected safely and were recovered alive.

Felonious Donald GUILTY on All Counts

(AMP) New York City, May 30, 2024
Former President of the United States, Donald J. Trump, was found guilty on all 34 counts. The case is frequently called the “Hush Money” case. His crimes defrauded American voters in 2016 by covering up a sexual affair with adult film actress, Stormy Daniels, by using a “catch and kill” scheme wherein the National Enquirer bought the rights to her story and had her sign a non-disclosure agreement, and then killed the story in order to keep the affair secret from the American public in the weeks prior to the 2016 election.

Trump is now a convicted felon and a candidate for POTUS this year.

American Freedom in Jeopardy
